What we collect directly

Almost nothing. Vukla is a set of static pages. We do not ask you to register, we do not run a newsletter, and the calculators on this site run entirely in your browser. The wattage and the unit rate you type are never sent anywhere, they are used by a script on the page and forgotten when you close the tab.

If you email us, we keep that message so we can answer it, and we delete it once the matter is closed.

Advertising and cookies

Vukla shows advertising served by Google, including Google AdSense. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info.

If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR we rely on your consent for advertising and measurement cookies. A consent prompt appears on your first visit, run through Google's certified consent management platform, and nothing beyond strictly necessary storage is set until you choose. You can change or withdraw consent at any time through the privacy link in the footer of the ad unit, or by clearing cookies for this domain in your browser.

Your rights include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise any of them, write to [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If you are in California

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising partners may treat personalised advertising as a sale or share under the CCPA. To opt out, use the Google Ads Settings link above, or send a request to our email address and we will pass it on.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly aggregate analytics that record page views and referrers without cookies and without building a profile of you. No cross-site identifier is set.

Children

Vukla is written for adults paying household energy bills and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top of this page. Material changes are noted on the home page for thirty days.
